Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha resolve tensions after Aragon GP dispute

MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha have met to resolve tensions following a series of public disagreements after the Aragon Grand Prix. The friction arose after Quartararo expressed frustration with the manufacturer, stating he would stop assisting with bike development after being barred from a Pirelli tire test in Austria.

Yamaha responded to these comments by suggesting Quartararo adopt a more professional attitude, specifically citing Jack Miller as an example. Quartararo later clarified that while some statements made in frustration may not have been entirely correct, the matter has been addressed in a meeting and is now “quite normal.”

Despite the reconciliation, Yamaha has maintained its decision to prevent Quartararo from participating in the Pirelli tire testing. The 2021 world champion acknowledged his high level of competitiveness as a driver for his reactions, noting that he struggles to adapt to periods where the technical package is not performing at the desired level.
