Fabio Quartararo struggles during MotoGP practice in Australia

Fabio Quartararo faced a difficult practice session at the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, finishing 15th. The French rider reported a significant lack of feeling with the front of his Yamaha M1, a technical issue that is particularly detrimental on the high-speed, high-lean angle turns of the Phillip Island circuit.

During the session, Jack Miller was the top Yamaha representative, finishing 12th. Other notable incidents included a crash by Marco Bezzecchi following contact with Alex Marquez and a session disruption caused by a wallaby on the track. Due to the practice results, Quartararo will be required to compete in Q1 to attempt qualification for the main race.

Weather forecasts indicate heavy rain is expected for the remainder of the weekend, which may impact track conditions and racing strategy.
