Andreina Yépez and Fabio Torres pass away

The entertainment sectors in Venezuela and Colombia are mourning the deaths of two prominent figures.

Venezuelan actress, comedian, and model Andreina Yépez has passed away in Miami, Florida, at the age of 51 or 52. Yépez, who was widely recognized for her role as ‘Melao’ in the telenovela ‘Cosita Rica’ and her early work as a dancer for Miguel Moly, reportedly fought a private battle against cancer following a diagnosis made just one month prior to her death.

In Colombia, Fabio Andrés Torres Molina, known as ‘El Rector,’ has died in Valledupar. A highly influential figure in the vallenato music industry, Torres was a publicist and the founder of Zona Creativa. He was instrumental in the careers of several major artists, most notably Silvestre Dangond. Reports indicate his death was caused by a sudden heart attack.
