Fabio Torres Molina, vallenato industry advertiser, dies in Valledupar
Fabio Andrés Torres Molina, a prominent graphic designer, entrepreneur, and advertising specialist known as ‘El Rector’, passed away on August 24 in Valledupar. Torres was the founder of the agency Zona Creativa, where he developed promotional strategies and campaigns for various political, cultural, and musical figures, including vallenato artists Silvestre Dangond and Churo Díaz.
Singer Silvestre Dangond attended the funeral services to honor Torres, describing him as a close friend and a creative ally whose ideas would continue to influence his work. The death of the 42-year-old has drawn significant reactions from the artistic and business communities in Valledupar.
In response to circulating rumors regarding the circumstances of his death, Torres’s family issued a statement requesting prudence and respect. They noted that official results from Medicina Legal have not yet been released to definitively establish a cause of death and urged the media and the public to refrain from spreading unconfirmed information to allow the family to grieve in peace.
