Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley set for WBO heavyweight rematch

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley are set to face each other in a WBO heavyweight title rematch on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the O2 Arena in London. The bout follows their intense first encounter in May, where Dubois recovered from two early knockdowns to secure an 11th-round technical knockout victory, claiming the WBO belt.

At the recent weigh-in, Dubois tipped the scales at 253.9 lbs, while Wardley arrived at a career-high 248.3 lbs. Both fighters have expressed high confidence; Wardley is seeking revenge and aims to capitalize on his early success from the first fight, while Dubois has dismissed Wardley’s power, stating, “He punches like a baby.”

The rematch features an undercard including Louie O’Doherty defending his British and Commonwealth lightweight titles against Michael Gomez Jr., and Bakhodir Jalolov facing Solomon Dacres. The event will be broadcast live on DAZN.
