Fabrício Baiano launches food waste reduction platform

Former professional footballer Fabrício Baiano has co-founded PriceFood, a new technology platform designed to help restaurants reduce food waste and optimize their purchasing processes.

Baiano, who played for clubs including Vasco in Brazil and various teams in Portugal and Turkey, launched the venture following his retirement from football. The initiative is a collaboration with partners from Otimize, including Thiago Coelho, Jeferson Sodré, and Alef Lotaif. The project is driven by Baiano's personal history with food insecurity, ranging from childhood hunger in Bahia to financial struggles during his early football career in Rio de Janeiro.
