Fabreville residence destroyed in suspicious fire

An unoccupied residential building in Fabreville was destroyed by a highly suspicious fire during the night of Monday, August 17. Emergency services were alerted to the scene at approximately 2:29 a.m., with 26 firefighters from the Laval Fire Department (SSIL) responding to the blaze.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a near-total conflagration spreading from the first floor to the roof. During the intervention, a section of the floor collapsed, but no injuries were reported. The total damage to the structure is estimated at approximately $300,000.

Authorities consider the fire suspicious because the building currently has no electricity supply. The Laval Police Service has been tasked with investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
