Fabriano to host 30th Premio Nazionale Gentile awards ceremony

The 30th edition of the Premio Nazionale Gentile will be held in Fabriano on October 3, 2026, at the Oratorio della Carità. The event features the conferral of the ‘Medaglia del Presidente della Repubblica’ to Professor Galliano Crinella, president of the organizing association, following wishes from President Mattarella.

Several distinguished individuals have been selected by the jury, chaired by Giorgio Calcagnini, Rector of the University of Urbino. Notable awardees include Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi for the Special Jury Prize, immunologist Alberto Mantovani for the ‘Vite di italiani’ section, and scientist Barbara Mazzolai for ‘Scienza, salute e ambiente’.

Other recipients include economist Daniele Franco for the ‘Economia, lavoro e innovazione’ category, filmmaker Marco Tullio Giordana for the ‘Carlo Bo per la cultura e la comunicazione’ award, and Monika Bulaj for the ‘Mario Giacomelli per la fotografia contemporanea’ prize.
