Fabrizio De André tribute in Ferento draws 100+ audience

A tribute to the late Italian singer‑songwriter Fabrizio De André was staged at the Antiche Terme in Ferento, drawing more than one hundred spectators. The production, titled “Ma sono mille papaveri rossi,” was created by the Compagnia Liberaimago with text and direction by Fabio Pisano. Performers included narrator and singer Francesco Luongo, actress Francesca Borriero, guitarist and vocalist Giuseppe Di Taranto, and cellist Davide Maria Viola, who presented a selection of De André’s best‑known songs such as “Il Pescatore,” “Amore che vieni, amore che vai,” and “Via del Campo.” The hour‑long show combined music, theatre and poetry, celebrating the artist’s legacy twenty‑four years after his death.

The audience responded with sustained applause, and the performers were called back for encores. The event also featured a guided tour of the nearby archaeological area organized by Archeotuscia, adding a cultural‑heritage dimension to the evening.
