FAC urban garden supports vulnerable families in Campo Grande

The Community Support Fund (FAC) is utilizing its 1,200 m² Urban Agriculture Technical Unit (UTA) in Campo Grande to support the Prato Colorido Project. This initiative provides fruits, vegetables, and legumes to families and institutions facing social vulnerability.

The agricultural process is managed by the FAC team, covering everything from soil preparation to harvesting. The unit employs agroecological methods, using soil prepared without chemical agents and fertilizer produced on-site. The upcoming planting cycle involves more than 400 types of seeds and seedlings.

In addition to the produce grown at the UTA, the food kits distributed through the project include items donated by FAC partners to ensure a variety of nutrition for those in need.
