FACC expands aerospace production facility in Jakovlje, Croatia
Aerospace technology partner FACC has officially opened an expanded production facility in Jakovlje, Croatia. This site represents the company’s largest manufacturing location outside of Austria, with a total investment of 36 million euros to date.
Since beginning production in 2022 with 170 employees, the facility has grown to employ approximately 550 workers across 15,500 square meters. The expansion aims to meet rising global demand from major aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing, who currently hold orders for approximately 18,700 aircraft.
In addition to the expansion, FACC management announced plans to establish a center of excellence at the Jakovlje location, which will focus on the development of aircraft interiors. The company is also developing new production processes for composite components using presses and is working toward increased automation and improved operational efficiency.
