Facebook experiences worldwide outage, users unable to log in
Meta's Facebook and Instagram services went down early Thursday, with users in several countries reporting that they could not access their accounts. In Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, desktop users saw a blank white screen, while mobile app users also experienced failures. The outage began around 10:00 a.m. local time in the Balkans and was first noted by Downdetector at about 3:25 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States, where thousands of users reported the issue.
The platforms displayed a message stating, “Your account is temporarily unavailable due to a page problem. We expect this to be resolved soon. Please try again in a few minutes.” The problem affected both Facebook and its sister service Instagram, prompting widespread inconvenience until service was restored.
