Factory explosion in Tokyo's Ota Ward injures three employees

An explosion occurred at a factory in the Hon-Haneda 3-chome district of Ota Ward, Tokyo, on the morning of September 14. The blast, which took place shortly before 9:00 AM, was reported by witnesses who felt vibrations and heard a loud noise.

Preliminary investigations by the police and fire departments suggest the incident may have been a gas explosion within a work area. The force of the blast caused windows to shatter and sent glass fragments flying into the surrounding area, though no damage to nearby residential homes was reported.

Three factory employees sustained injuries in the accident. All three individuals remained conscious and were reported to have minor injuries; they were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
