Fuvest opens registration for 2027 University of São Paulo entrance exam

Registration for the 2027 Fuvest entrance exam for the University of São Paulo (USP) opens on August 17 and will run until October 9. The selection process offers 8,147 undergraduate vacancies, distributed among general competition, public school students, and self-declared Black, mixed-race, or Indigenous students from public schools.

The 2027 edition introduces several changes. The first phase, scheduled for November 1, will feature a new format with 80 multiple-choice questions—a reduction of ten from previous years—while maintaining a five-hour duration to promote an interdisciplinary assessment model. The second phase will take place on December 6 and 7.

A significant logistical update is the inclusion of Fortaleza, Ceará, as a new testing site. This expansion aims to reduce travel requirements for candidates from the Northeast region. Additionally, candidates requiring accessibility accommodations, such as Braille or extended time, must request these during the registration process.
