Brighton & Hove Albion's 21‑year‑old Argentine‑Italian midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, who is under contract until 2028, has attracted transfer interest as his first‑team opportunities remain limited. German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 has made an official inquiry about the player, viewing him as a potential boost to their attacking options.

Spanish Segunda División club Elche CF is also pursuing a loan deal for Buonanotte to replace departing midfielder Aleix Febas. The player, previously loaned to Leeds United, Chelsea and Leicester City, has a market value estimated at around €12 million.
