Facundo Buonanotte joins Spanish side Elche on season‑long loan from Brighton

Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, 21, has moved from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion to La Liga side Elche CF on a season‑long loan. The versatile attacking midfielder, who has earned two caps for Argentina, previously spent the last two campaigns on loan at Leicester City, Chelsea and Leeds United.

Brighton sporting director Mike Cave said the loan will give Buonanotte regular top‑flight football, while Elche manager Martín Anselmi welcomed the signing as a boost to the club’s attacking options ahead of the 2026‑27 season.
