Facundo Herrera scores decisive goal for Boca Juniors

Defender Facundo “Jagger” Herrera secured a 1-0 victory for Boca Juniors against Independiente with a header in the 88th minute. This marked the 20-year-old's first professional goal and positions the team at the top of the annual table.

Boca Juniors manager Rodolfo “Vasco” Arruabarrena has praised Herrera's performance, noting that despite limited minutes, the defender has been one of the team's highest-performing players. The selection of Herrera follows injuries to other central defenders like Ayrton Costa and Marco Pellegrino.

In addition to Herrera's rise, team captain Leandro Paredes has expressed support for specific midfield configurations, advocating for the presence of players like Delgado and Ascacíbar to maintain team stability and performance.
