Facundo Marín sentenced to prison for Bariloche homicide

Facundo Marín has been sentenced to five years and five months in prison for the aggravated culpable homicide of Emilio Juárez Villarruel. The incident occurred on June 27 in Bariloche.

The court, presided over by Bernardo Campana, reached a unanimous decision following an abbreviated trial. Aggravating factors in the sentencing included Marín driving while disqualified, consuming alcohol, failing to assist the victim after the collision, and attempting to conceal the vehicle. Additionally, the court noted that Marín had allegedly intimidated a minor to prevent them from testifying about the event.

In addition to the prison sentence, Marín received a 10-year disqualification from driving.
