FAdeA aircraft factory faces potential bankruptcy over massive debt
The Fábrica Argentina de Aviones Brigadier San Martín (FAdeA), Argentina's sole aircraft manufacturer, is facing a severe financial crisis. The company is reportedly on the verge of bankruptcy proceedings due to approximately US$22 million in outstanding debt to suppliers and contractors.
Projections indicate that the company could face a total liability exceeding 152,000 million pesos by the end of 2026. The crisis is attributed to reduced activity, a lack of working capital, and the absence of signed key contracts under the Ministry of Defense. As creditors consider legal action to recover unpaid debts, the state may face significant challenges regarding the stability of this strategic industrial entity.
