Fadel Shaker returns to stage in Riyadh after 14-year hiatus

Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker made his return to live performances during the Riyadh Season at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater. The concert, titled ‘Return of the Absent,’ marked his first major public appearance after a 14-year absence from the stage.

The event featured guest appearances by singer Nawal Al Kuwaitia and Shaker’s son, Mohammad Shaker, who performed together on stage. Due to high demand and rapid ticket sales, a second night was added to the schedule.

During the performance, Shaker wore dark sunglasses, leading to public speculation. Reports suggest the eyewear may be due to light sensitivity caused by complications from diabetes. Shaker also used the occasion to announce his upcoming song, ‘Omri Al Baqi.’
