Fadli Zon promotes historical literacy and tech-culture collaboration
Indonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon has highlighted the importance of integrating historical literacy and technology into the nation's cultural preservation efforts.
During the Tapak Tilas Proklamasi 2026 event in Jakarta, organized by the Ministry of Culture to commemorate Indonesia's 81st Independence Day, more than 700 participants participated in a historical walk. The route connected the Museum of the Formulation of the Proclamation Text to the Proclamation Monument, aiming to instill the values of the '45 Generation and improve historical literacy among younger generations.
Additionally, speaking at the Karya Raya FTUI 2026 cultural showcase at the University of Indonesia, Fadli Zon emphasized the necessity of collaborating culture with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). He noted that technology, including artificial intelligence, digital tools, and design, can create new spaces for developing and producing Indonesian arts and culture.
