FAEP delegation studies US agricultural robotics and satellite tech

A delegation of 32 rural leaders and producers from Paraná, Brazil, is conducting a technical mission in the United States to study advancements in agricultural robotics, artificial intelligence, and satellite monitoring.

In California, the group visited Yamaha Agriculture to observe the Prospr robot, designed for automating repetitive or hazardous tasks in vineyards and orchards. The technology aims to reduce labor dependency and chemical exposure while lowering costs. Data from Yamaha Agriculture indicates that the Prospr robot costs approximately US$ 0.34 per hectare, compared to US$ 2.21 per hectare for conventional tractor and sprayer systems.
