Fafá de Belém brings Nazaré devotion project to Portugal

Singer Fafá de Belém is launching the ‘Encontro das Nazarés’ (Meeting of the Nazarenes) in Portugal to strengthen cultural and religious ties between Brazil and Portugal. The initiative, an expansion of her ‘Varanda de Nazaré’ project, will hold its first event at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré in the village of Nazaré on Tuesday, September 8. The singer will perform alongside Portuguese artists Jorge Fernando, Fábia Rebordão, and Fernando Pereira.

In Brazil, the devotion to Nossa Senhora de Nazaré continues with local traditions. In Pará, the Paysandu sports club is hosting the Pilgrim Image of the saint at the Curuzu stadium. The visit includes a mass and is attended by club officials, players, and staff, serving as a moment of faith for the team during its current football season.
