Fafá de Belém celebrates 70th birthday and 50-year career

Brazilian singer Fafá de Belém celebrated her 70th birthday in her hometown of Belém, Pará. The festivities included a mass at the Colégio Gentil Bittencourt chapel and a street celebration known as ‘Fafá Fest’, where the singer made a grand entrance dressed as a princess.

In addition to the birthday celebrations, the singer is marking 50 years of her career with the stage production ‘Fafá de Belém, O Musical’. The show, which explores her history through Amazonian mythology and different stages of her life, has scheduled performances in Belém, São Luís, and Belo Horizonte.

During a recent interview, Fafá de Belém revealed that she experienced burnout in 2025, which required hospitalization due to physical and mental exhaustion. She noted that she has since returned to therapy and meditation to manage her health.
