Fafá de Belém musical celebrates singer's 50-year career

The musical “Fafá de Belém”, celebrating five decades of the singer's career, has premiered at the Teatro Arthur Azevedo in São Luís. Presented by the Ministry of Culture and Petrobras, the production explores the artist's life, her connection to the Amazon, and her role as a symbol of Brazilian culture.

The stage production features various actresses portraying different stages of the singer's life, including Lucinha Lins, who portrays the mature phase of the artist. The musical incorporates iconic songs such as “Foi Assim”, “Amazônia”, and “Bom Dia Belém” to narrate her journey through music, politics, and identity.

As the artist reaches her 70th birthday, she continues to be recognized as a significant figure in MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), known for her passionate vocal style and her representation of Amazonian traditions.
