Fagskolen i Nord sees significant growth in student enrollment and production

Fagskolen i Nord has experienced significant growth since 2016, establishing itself as a central vocational college in Norway relative to its regional population. The institution has seen a substantial increase in both student numbers and credit production, serving as a strategic tool for Troms to address competence needs in the public sector, industry, and societal preparedness.

Student enrollment is projected to rise from 408 in autumn 2016 to 883 planned students by autumn 2026, representing more than a doubling of activity. This growth has been particularly strong since 2020. Additionally, the college's documented educational production has nearly doubled, with credit production increasing from 15,003 in 2016 to 30,344 in 2025.
