Fahs Anjra industrial fire damages three factories near Tangier

A fire broke out on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the TAC 1 industrial zone located in the Jouamaa commune within the Fahs Anjra province near Tangier. The blaze originated in a factory specializing in the manufacture of automotive filters.

Strong winds caused the flames to spread to two adjacent industrial units. Local authorities, security forces, and civil protection teams were mobilized to contain the fire and prevent it from reaching other facilities in the area. As a precautionary measure, workers and employees from nearby factories were evacuated.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no human casualties. While the fire caused material damage, including damage to the exterior facades of the neighboring buildings, no significant internal damage or equipment loss was reported in those adjacent units. Emergency services worked to stabilize the situation and monitor the site to ensure safety.
