FAI ‘I Luoghi del Cuore’ census reveals top Italian heritage sites
The 13th edition of ‘I Luoghi del Cuore’, a national census of Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage organized by FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano) in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, is currently underway. Voting remains open until December 15.
In the Lazio region, the Castello di Torre Astura in Nettuno has reached 15th place nationally with 5,882 votes, while Paradiso sul Mare in Anzio holds 27th place with 4,070 votes. High vote counts for these sites could secure significant funding for their redevelopment.
In Liguria, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Pegazzano leads the regional rankings with over 6,600 votes. Other notable sites include the Convent of San Domenico in Taggia and Villa Regina Margherita in Bordighera. In the Genoa area, the Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Camogli is ranked 47th nationally.
