Faik Güngör Ortaokulu launches Family Academy in Erzurum

Faik Güngör Ortaokulu in the Yakutiye district of Erzurum has launched the Family Academy project to strengthen cooperation between schools and families. Aligned with the Turkey Century Education Model, the initiative aims to involve parents more consciously in their children's educational processes through a holistic approach.

The project features monthly meetings where experts and academics will address topics such as child and adolescent psychology, family communication, parenting in the digital age, and the role of families in academic success. The program began on November 4, 2026, with a conference by Assistant Professor Fethi Yıldırım titled “Child Education Methods of Prophets,” which focused on values education and parental approaches.

School Director Nuri Albayrak emphasized that education is not limited to the classroom and that family support is vital for the academic, social, and moral development of students.
