Faiq Bolkiah becomes free agent after leaving Ratchaburi FC

Faiq Bolkiah, widely identified as the world’s wealthiest footballer, is currently a free agent after his contract with Thai League 1 club Ratchaburi FC was not renewed. The 28-year-old attacker, who holds dual citizenship from the United States and Brunei, is the nephew of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

While his professional football career has seen limited success, with stints in the youth academies of Chelsea and Leicester City and professional appearances for Marítimo in Portugal and clubs in Thailand, his personal wealth is tied to his royal lineage. Estimates of his family's fortune, which he is associated with, are cited by various outlets as being approximately 18 to 19 billion euros.

Bolkiah has represented the Brunei national team, serving as captain during his appearances. He is currently seeking a new club to continue his professional career.
