Fairbanks Morse Defense invests 7 million euros in Poland facility

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD), an Arcline Investment Management portfolio company, has announced a 6.98 million euro investment to expand the Vestdavit production facility in Redzikowo, Poland. Supported by the Pomeranian Regional Development Agency (PARR) and the Polish Investment Zone programme, the site will function as a global Davit Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (DMCoE).

The expansion is designed to produce advanced systems for deploying and recovering both autonomous and crewed vessels. This investment is expected to increase annual production by 80%, nearly doubling FMD’s total capacity for davits and maritime handling equipment.

The facility aims to provide localized support to NATO and European naval forces, strengthening European strategic autonomy by enhancing nearshore manufacturing and supply chains within the continent.
