Fairmont Hotels & Resorts opens first Thailand property in Bangkok

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a brand under the Accor hospitality group, has announced the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit in Thailand. Developed in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), the property marks the brand’s first hotel in the country.

Located in the Sukhumvit neighborhood, the hotel features 416 guestrooms and 58 suites. The design, handled by the Thai architectural practice PIA, incorporates botanical themes inspired by Thailand’s heritage. Notable design elements include a lobby chandelier inspired by the golden ratchaphruek blossom, Thailand’s national flower.

Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, stated that the opening represents a pivotal step in the brand’s strategic expansion across Asia, following recent debuts in Hanoi and Tokyo.
