Fairmont Southampton launches Palmetto Beach Club in Bermuda

Fairmont Southampton opened the Palmetto Beach Club on Thursday, August 13, as the first completed guest experience of the resort’s multi‑phase redevelopment. The beachfront venue features an ocean‑front infinity pool, private cabanas, dedicated beach service, an event lawn and The Grill all‑day restaurant, along with wellness programming, live entertainment and handcrafted cocktails.

The opening was attended by Bermuda’s Premier David Burt and senior ministers, who described the milestone as a boost for the island’s tourism sector and a source of new jobs. Fairmont’s Regional Vice President Kiaran MacDonald said the launch marks the start of welcoming guests back to the iconic property. The full reopening later in the year will restore 593 redesigned guestrooms and suites, support local businesses and strengthen Bermuda’s ability to attract visitors and group travel.
