Leaked marketing materials and reports suggest that Fairphone is preparing to launch the Fairphone 6+, a refreshed version of its repair-friendly smartphone. While the device appears to maintain a similar design to its predecessor, the updates are expected to focus on internal performance enhancements.

Key anticipated upgrades include an increase in RAM from 8GB to 12GB and the potential integration of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, which offers a higher peak CPU speed than the current model. The new device is also expected to be available in a new Cobalt Blue finish, joining the existing color palette.

Although official pricing and a release date have not been confirmed, the current Fairphone 6 is priced around €599 in Europe. The 6+ is expected to continue Fairphone’s commitment to longevity and repairability, supporting long-term software use.
