Dutch sustainable‑phone maker Fairphone is reportedly developing a mid‑cycle upgrade to its recently released Gen 6 smartphone. The forthcoming "Gen 6 Plus" would raise the device’s RAM from 8 GB to 12 GB while keeping storage at 256 GB. The boost is aimed at smoother performance for demanding apps, including AI assistants such as Google Gemini. In addition to the memory increase, Fairphone plans to replace the current white‑cloud finish with a new cobalt‑blue colour, while retaining the existing black and green options. No official launch date or pricing has been announced, though the company’s previous pricing of the standard Gen 6 at €599 suggests the Plus model could be positioned similarly or slightly higher.
