Faisalabad Police Station Death of 70-Year-Old Man Sparks Protest

Seventy‑year‑old Zulfiqar died of a heart attack at the Ghulam Muhammad Abad police station in Faisalabad while seeking action on a harassment complaint involving his ten‑year‑old granddaughter. His family alleges that Assistant Sub‑Inspector Raza Abbas insulted and pressured them during the meeting, causing emotional distress that led to the collapse.

Following the death, relatives staged a protest outside the station, blocking the road and demanding disciplinary and legal action against the officer. Police officials later took the main suspect in the original harassment case into custody and registered a formal case.
