Faith leaders gather in Washington to pray for Dr. Hak Ja Han

Hundreds of faith leaders and clergy gathered at The Washington Times building for the “God’s Hope Is America” event, co-hosted by the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification USA. The interfaith gathering focused on a call to prayer for Dr. Hak Ja Han, referred to as the “Mother of Peace.”

Speakers at the event included former U.S. Representative Dan Burton, former U.S. Ambassador Randy Evans, and Family Federation USA President Rev. Demian Dunkley. Paula White-Cain also spoke in her personal capacity, emphasizing that religious liberty must be available to everyone. The event also commemorated the 50th anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s 1976 Washington Monument rally.

Reports indicate that Dr. Hak Ja Han has been imprisoned for two years following allegations of embezzling church funds and bribing a former first lady of South Korea.
