Republican convention website redirecting users to Epstein files
A fraudulent website, gopdallas2026.com, has been redirecting users searching for the upcoming Republican National Committee (RNC) midterm convention in Dallas to the Department of Justice’s online Epstein files. The mock site appeared prominently in Google search results, masquerading as an official information hub for the event.
The Lincoln Project has been identified as promoting the lookalike site, which functions as a political prank. While the fake site promised details on registration and media credentials, it instead sent visitors to records related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Republican Party has denounced the site as ‘FAKE NEWS’ and directed users to the official GOP convention website.
The incident has reignited political debate regarding the Epstein files and the handling of their release by the Trump administration. The redirect occurs just days before the first-ever GOP midterm convention, scheduled for September 9-10 at the American Airlines Center, which is expected to feature speakers including Donald Trump and JD Vance.
