Faker commemorative stamps to be issued in South Korea

The Korea Post, under the Ministry of Science and ICT, has announced the issuance of commemorative stamps honoring Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, a legendary League of Legends professional player. Starting October 23, 140,000 sheets of commemorative stamps and stamp albums featuring key moments from his career since his 2013 debut will be available through major post offices and the online post office.

To mark the occasion, a ‘Faker Special Exhibition Hall’ has opened at the Seoul Central Post Office Stamp Museum. The exhibition features the new stamps, player uniforms, personal collections, and videos showcasing his career highlights, alongside spaces for gaming experiences. Lee attended the opening ceremony to receive the stamps.

Lee’s career includes six League of Legends World Championship titles, ten LCK titles, and two Mid-Season Invitational wins. He also secured consecutive gold medals at the Hangzhou and Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. In recognition of his contributions to e-sports, he was the first player to receive the Cheongryong Medal, the highest grade of the Korea Sports Order.
