Falani football stadium inaugurated after Storm Daniel repairs

The municipality of Larissa has officially inaugurated the renovated football stadium in the community of Falani. The facility underwent extensive reconstruction to restore it after it sustained severe damage during Storm Daniel, which had previously caused water levels to reach 4.5 meters in the area.

The modernization project included the installation of natural grass, new sports and civil equipment, upgraded stands, lighting, and new offices and changing rooms. Larissa Mayor Thanasis Mamakos stated that the goal was to provide a safe, functional, and modern athletic space for local clubs, athletes, and children.

The inauguration ceremony featured a friendly match involving AS Falaniakos, AOS Smolika, and AEL U19, with professional players from AEL also in attendance to celebrate the return of this central community landmark.
