Falassarna: Tourist found unconscious on hiking trail

Emergency services were deployed to Falassarna, Crete, following a 112 emergency call regarding a 41-year-old female tourist who experienced severe malaise while on the E4 hiking trail. Firefighters located the woman unconscious and immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.

This incident follows other rescues in the region, including a 54-year-old hiker in the Imbros Gorge and a 73-year-old in Avdou. Authorities have issued warnings regarding rising temperatures, noting that despite recommendations to avoid heat exposure, individuals continue to risk their safety by ignoring meteorological warnings.
