Falconara completes major road resurfacing project with over €1 million municipal funding

The municipality of Falconara Marittima has finished the first phase of a city‑wide road resurfacing programme that began in February 2024 and is funded with more than €1 million of local resources. The latest work, completed on 3 August, involved repaving the stretch of via Leopardi between via IV Novembre and piazza Gramsci, following earlier resurfacing of via Rosselli that started in late July.

Mayor Stefania Signorini said the works mark a key milestone in renewing the town’s streets and sidewalks, and announced an additional €5 million earmarked for further safety‑related upgrades. After the August pause, the plan calls for completing the remaining section of via Leopardi in front of the new school complex, resurfacing via Alessandro Volta in September, and tackling the via Marconi–via Giordano Bruno corridor in the autumn.

The programme also includes upgrades to pedestrian pathways on several streets across the municipality, from Castelferretti to Palombina Vecchia, aiming to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety throughout Falconara.
