Carabinieri investigators in Falconara Marittima have identified and reported a 39-year-old woman for an online rental scam. The investigation began after a citizen reported being defrauded during the previous spring.

The victim responded to an online advertisement for an inexpensive van rental and transferred more than 1,500 euros through several bank transfers. After receiving the funds, the woman responsible for the advertisement cut all contact and became unreachable.

By reconstructing financial flows and verifying personal data, the Carabinieri successfully identified the suspect, who resides outside the province and has a prior criminal record. The woman has been referred to the judicial authorities.
