Falconara Marittima hosts reunion for ex-soldiers of the 84th Infantry Regiment

Ex-soldiers of the 84th Infantry Regiment Venezia have gathered in Falconara Marittima for a reunion titled ‘Lo giuro!’. The event, organized by the Municipality of Falconara, brings together former service members who were stationed at the Saracini Barracks between 1977 and 2000.

The gathering commenced at the Castello di Falconara Alta in the Sala del Leone. Local officials, including Mayor Stefania Signorini and Vice Mayor Marco Giacanella, welcomed approximately twenty former soldiers and several high-ranking officers, including Colonels Wagner Ugolini, Carlo Cavallero, and Carlo Leoni, as well as Generals Giorgio Rossi and Antonio Napolitano.

During the opening, officials emphasized the historical significance of the military presence and the Saracini Barracks to the local community. The reunion includes scheduled activities at the former barracks site to commemorate the camaraderie and history of the soldiers who served there before the facility closed 26 years ago.
