Falconara Marittima prepares for return of 1,890 students

The 2026-2027 school year begins this Monday in Falconara Marittima, with 1,890 students returning to classes ranging from nursery school to lower secondary levels. This represents a slight decrease from the 1,952 students enrolled last year, following regional and national trends.

The municipality is providing several services for the new term, including school transport for 312 students and canteen services for 1,145 users, which includes 126 children from nursery schools. Educational assistance will also be available from the first day.

Significant infrastructure updates are noted this year. Following the renovation of the historic building in via Leopardi, the Sirenetta nursery has been transferred there. Additionally, a new 300-square-meter canteen at the Istituto Gesù Bambino, funded by 440,000 euros from the PNRR, is now operational. Mayor Stefania Signorini is scheduled to visit the via XX Settembre complex on Monday to greet students.
