FalconX transfers large amounts of HYPE crypto to major exchanges

Large-scale transfers of Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens by institutional-linked wallets have raised concerns regarding potential sell pressure. Blockchain analytics indicate that FalconX-associated hot wallets have moved over 700,000 HYPE tokens to various centralized exchanges, including OKX, Bybit, Coinbase, and Gate.

Specific transactions include a transfer of 165,000 HYPE (approximately $12.31 million) to OKX and Bybit, and another 141,000 HYPE (roughly $10.45 million) to Coinbase. These movements follow a trend where institutional buyers who accumulated HYPE via over-the-counter (OTC) desks during the summer appear to be liquidating their positions.

Despite these large inflows to exchanges, the HYPE price has shown resilience, consolidating near $76 after recovering from previous lows. Analysts note that because HYPE has a smaller market capitalization and lower liquidity compared to Bitcoin or Ether, significant institutional sell-offs can have a disproportionately large impact on price volatility.
