Faliro Bay redevelopment to see over 500 million euro investment

The Attica Region has announced a major urban redevelopment plan for Faliro Bay, involving investments exceeding 500 million euros. The project focuses on two primary interventions: the creation of the AENAOON Metropolitan Park and the transformation of the Tae Kwon Do Olympic Indoor Arena into a modern international convention and exhibition center.

The AENAOON Metropolitan Park project involves a total public investment of over 460 million euros, with 85% co-financed by the Cohesion Fund. A construction contract worth approximately 209.5 million euros was signed on September 2, involving a consortium including Terna, Metka, Iliochora, and Elemka.

Additionally, a 150 million euro investment is planned to repurpose the Tae Kwon Do facility into a multifunctional hub for tourism, culture, and business. Together, these projects aim to create a unified coastal waterfront and a new metropolitan destination for the capital, integrating green spaces with access to the sea.
