Falkensteiner Group opens €150 million resort in Salò

The Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) has officially opened the Falkensteiner Resort Lake Garda in Salò, Italy. This €150 million mixed-use project is situated on the former site of the Tavina mineral water company.

Designed by Matteo Thun & Partners, the development integrates a five-star hotel with branded residences and gastronomy. The first phase, consisting of the hotel and initial apartments, is complete and has been welcoming guests since July. The second phase is currently underway, with the full project—including 85 hotel rooms and suites, 174 apartments, and four villas—expected to be finished by summer 2027.

FMTG CEO Otmar Michaeler stated that the project revitalized the entire site by combining hospitality, real estate development, architecture, and landscaping. The investment represents one of the group's largest projects in Italy and a strategic move within a key growth market.
