Falkirk defeat Hearts to secure first league win of the season

Falkirk secured their first William Premiership win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Falkirk Stadium. The win ended Hearts’ nine-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.

Ben Krauhaus opened the scoring for Falkirk in the eighth minute following a pass from Ryan Strain. Hearts responded in the 22nd minute when Josh McPake assisted James Wilson for a close-range equalizer. The decisive moment came in the 68th minute when Derby County loanee Owen Eames capitalized on a mistake by Hearts captain Harry Milne to score the winning goal.

Falkirk manager John McGlynn praised Eames for his performance, noting his work rate, tenacity, and ability to navigate through defenders. Eames, who joined Falkirk on loan from Derby County for the 2025/26 campaign, has quickly become a key figure for the club.
