Falling House film premieres at Venice Film Festival

The Iranian film ‘Falling House’ (Moragheb), directed by Mohsen Gharaei, held its world premiere in the Horizons section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The film is an international co-production involving Iran, Germany, and the United States.

Starring Rima Raminfar and Laleh Marzban, the social drama follows a Tehran-based family facing severe economic and social crises. The plot centers on a prison guard who, after facing corruption allegations due to a professional error, struggles to maintain family cohesion as his daughter seeks to escape their hardships through modeling and emigration.

The film’s presence at the festival has drawn significant attention, particularly regarding the red carpet appearances of its lead actresses and the film's themes of poverty and urban change.
